What Is Vibe Cōdr Academy?

Vibe Cōdr Academy is an AI-powered coding platform designed specifically for kids ages 9 to 17. Instead of following rigid tutorials, kids chat with Crackers 🦜 — our friendly AI tutor powered by Claude (from Anthropic) — to build real HTML, CSS, and JavaScript projects through natural conversation.

A child might type "Make me a space game" or "I want a website about my dog," and Crackers 🦜 will write the code, explain what it does, and display the result instantly in a live preview. Kids learn by doing, experimenting, and iterating — the way real developers work.

Adults create and manage kid accounts, set up billing, and get full visibility into what their kids are building and chatting about. There are no social features, no direct messaging between users, and no way for strangers to contact your child.

Setting Up Kid Accounts

Create your adult account

Sign up with your email address and set a password. This is your account — you will use it to manage kid accounts, review activity, and handle billing.

Add a child account

From your dashboard, click "Add Child" and choose a username (display name), password, and avatar for your child. We recommend using a nickname rather than their real name. No email address is required for child accounts.

Share the login

Give your child their username and password. They log in directly to the coding editor — no email verification needed. You can reset their password at any time from your dashboard.

Add more kids (optional)

You can create multiple child accounts under a single adult account. Each child gets their own login, projects, and conversation history.

Safety Features

We built Vibe Cōdr Academy from the ground up with child safety as our top priority. Here is a summary of our safety measures:

Two-Layer Content Filtering

Every message is screened before it reaches the AI and again when the AI responds. Profanity, slurs, sexual content, and other inappropriate material is blocked automatically.

PII Protection

Phone numbers, email addresses, physical addresses, and Social Security numbers are automatically detected and blocked before they reach the AI.

Sandboxed Code Execution

All code runs inside a secure, sandboxed iframe. There is no access to the device's camera, microphone, geolocation, or file system.

No Social Features

There are no chat rooms, direct messages, friend requests, or any way for one user to contact another. Kids interact only with the AI tutor.

Parental Controls and Visibility

Your adult dashboard gives you full visibility into each child's activity. You do not need to look over their shoulder — everything is logged and available for you to review at any time.

  • Message history: Read every conversation between your child and Crackers 🦜, including the full context of each coding session.
  • Project review: See all saved projects, including code and live previews, and which projects have been published to the Showcase.
  • Blocked content log: When a child attempts to send something that is flagged by our content filter, the attempt is blocked and logged. You can see exactly what was attempted, when, and why it was flagged.
  • Time tracking: Monitor how long each child spends in the coding editor — daily, weekly, and monthly. The timer pauses automatically when the browser tab is hidden, so you get accurate screen time data.
  • Account management: Reset passwords, change display names, update avatars, or delete child accounts at any time.

What ages is Vibe Cōdr Academy for?

Vibe Cōdr Academy is designed for kids ages 9 through 17. Younger kids may need more guidance from an adult, while older kids can work more independently. Crackers 🦜 adapts its explanations to be age-appropriate based on the complexity of the conversation.

Does my child need to know how to code already?

Not at all. Crackers 🦜 meets kids where they are. A complete beginner can say "Make me a game" and Crackers 🦜 will build it and explain each step. More experienced kids can write their own code and ask Crackers 🦜 for help when they get stuck.

Is the AI safe for kids?

Can I see what my child is doing on the platform?

Can I use this for a classroom?

Yes. Teachers can create an adult account and add multiple child accounts for their students. Each student gets their own login and workspace. The teacher can review activity for each student from their dashboard, making it easy to track progress and provide guidance.

What coding languages do kids learn?

Vibe Cōdr Academy focuses on web development fundamentals: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. These are the building blocks of the web and are an excellent starting point for any aspiring programmer. Kids build real, runnable projects — not abstract exercises.

Can my child share their projects?

Yes. Kids can publish their projects to the Project Showcase, where other users can view and upvote them. Publishing is optional, and projects can be unpublished at any time. There is no commenting or messaging on showcase projects — just viewing and upvoting.

Who owns the projects my child creates?

You do. Projects created through the Service belong to you and your child. See our Terms of Service for details on intellectual property.

How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle, so you will continue to have access to paid features until then. There are no cancellation fees.

How do I delete my child's data?

You can delete a child account from your dashboard, which removes all of their data including projects, conversations, and usage statistics. You can also contact us at info@deaconhill.com to request data deletion.
